Mary Ann;

Specialized Colon

Hydrotherapist

aka Pooper Scooper

My journey in holistic healthcare started in 1998, when I obtained my certification in Reflexology. While practicing reflexology, I discovered that many of my clients needed to start with improving their bowel function in order to improve their overall health and well-being. In an effort to provide the best referrals for my clients, I researched different types of colon cleansing.

Over time, I noticed the best results from clients who supplemented the reflexology treatments with a series of colon-hydrotherapy sessions, also referred to as “colonics”. My belief in colon-hydrotherapy was reaffirmed when I personally witnessed the progress made with a young student who was unable to focus or read at an appropriate level and was medically diagnosed with ADD. After several colonic sessions, this young student achieved his grade level of reading and comprehension within three months.

While researching the options in Saskatoon, I saw there was a need to increase the availability of colon hydrotherapy services, so I took the next step in my career and obtained my certification in Colon Hydrotherapy from Prime Pacific Health Innovations, Vancouver, British Columbia in 2004. I opened my first colon hydrotherapy practice at Dad’s Nutrition Center that same year.

Shortly after beginning my practice, I realized the importance of not only treating my clients, but also educating them on the causes of limited bowel function. I was then privileged to meet an experienced practitioner in optimum bowel function who taught me how to read a bowel and thereby determine the difficulties of the bowel and apply appropriate treatment (i.e. massage, specific probiotics, or changes in diet).

In October 2013, as my practice and client base grew, I joined the team at True Potential Health Services. At this time, I pursued further training in abdominal massage and learned how that can make a treatment more effective. I also had the opportunity to take an advanced mentorship from an expert colon hydrotherapist in Germany, who taught me more about understanding and improving bowel health.

In 2021, with the growing demand for colon hydrotherapy services, Melissa Stamnes joined the practice and has since offered a high standard of care to our clients. Our shared vision is to help our clientele improve their bowel function with the goal of optimizing their health.

The ability to educate my clients and to offer specialized treatments is a unique service I provide. Once the bowel is functioning at a normal level, if required, I can offer coffee enemas, wheatgrass implants, parasite cleanses, and yeast treatments.

Gut health is so important in so many ways, as it can affect all aspects of our physical and mental well-being.

A happy colon; A healthy life.
